Channels
The Channels page manages the release tracks of the
selected project. Each channel is one card: its color dot and name, the latest
live version and when it was published — Latest: 1.4.0 · published … — or
Nothing published yet. The detail line counts live versions and shows when the
channel was created. A Stale badge appears when nothing has been published to
the channel in 90 days.
The summary line above the cards totals channels and live versions and shows your plan's channel limit.
Live Versions
Expand a card to see everything the channel currently serves, one row per version: Version, Rev, Size, Deployed, and Published. Deployed is when the bundle was uploaded; Published is when this channel started serving it — the two drift apart after a rollback, since an old bundle can be freshly published.
Create a Channel
Click + Channel. The New Channel dialog takes a name and a color; the color
marks the channel everywhere in the Console, including the live-channel badges on
the Deployments page. Names follow the
channel naming rules — 30 characters or less, letters,
numbers, hyphens, and underscores, and local is reserved.
Edit a Channel
Open the card's ⋮ menu and choose Edit to rename the channel or change its color. Renaming a channel that client apps reference stops those apps from receiving updates until they're updated with the new name.
Delete a Channel
Choose Delete from the ⋮ menu. The dialog shows the impact before you confirm: any live versions are unpublished, and apps configured with this channel stop receiving updates and fall back to their cached or embedded resources. Deleting a channel cannot be undone — though the deployments it served are untouched and can be published to another channel.
